hey paiseh.. cant come down this saturday again... have physics stuff.. anw, next week im quite free.. almost everyday no school. national day and stuff. so maybe if you all are free, we can come down to ball.. haha.. btw, melvin has a few friends who can ball. so melvin asks if you all want to 5v5.

one of our original twin towers. so he's tall. brings the team into play very well. miss him on the court. vanan needs some competition.

#3 dai wei
haven't been seeing him for a long time. been busy studying i guess. but wth he still plays good ball. wonder how good he is now. last time he was mm.. just good.

#4 kenneth
our foreign player! haha we call him stiff, likes to roll the ball on the ground. but he jumps high. woah. claims to be damn accurate last time. lol till he learns how to do lay-ups. hmm.

#5 kelvin
nurse koh! lol. his passion, our fortune. ever since he followed his heart, we need not worry about injuries when he's on the court. a good shooter. thinks he rather good la. and you can see his picture in a poster outside ngee ann poly! lol.

hahaha jbl. when he speaks the wind blows. improved alot though. still not enough. haha. but at least he's trying to so maybe one day he will really become "national" standard. yups. on form when girls walk past the court. girls of all ages. lol.

the other tower of the twin tower. we don't call them twin tower for nothing. haha. improving alot. but i think he needs to look out for the team more. and make his presence felt. but still he's good. of course can be better. wait till u meet centers like you. lol. but for now good enough. haha.

always end up playing for the opposition. lol. what a loss. heh. he's good la. and his ball is damn tyco. most of the times whenever his ball hits the rim it will somehow roll inside. and not out. -_-
always shock us in some way or other. and his skill that no one else can do is to air ball under the rim. woah.

hmm can shoot. but needs to use his body more. like make his presence felt. but nevertheless valuable to the team. haha everybody is. hmm needs to have more confidence i feel. still, there's nothing for me to complain about la. lol. played ball since sec 2 end of yr liddat. where we were noobs and got thrashed by two small kids. lol.

our fitness guru. haha. damn fit. takes protein. haha. he's just fit. woo hoo. and he's going to start studying. so we won't see him around that often i guess. but he's good la. in terms of fitness etc. improved alot. haha.

gun expert. shoots almost as accurate. haha. refuse to learn lay ups. lol. anyway improved alot. to someone who can't shoot to someone who can. haha. good enough.

another one who started playing in dec 2002 with weilun and me. lol. hmm too fancy sometimes but sometimes, rarely, they work out. lol. but yaa he's good la. and easy to get agitated. lol on the court la. but outside it's a different story.

hmm agile. haha. haven't seen him for a very long time. heh. would always come up with "spidey shots"? lol. but really, if basketball allows for one to climb up to the rim and score from there we have a winner here. haha.

woah. anyway this team is good. even though we haven't been winning matches, we still face them together. haha. fight on.

Team Daidee or School Team Daidee?

I agree with aloy's post.

We ain't in a bloddy school team, where tactics matter the most. Where wins matter the most.
We are a self-formed team of brothers who share the same hobby. Basketball.

We started playing not because we wanted to be in competitions. We started playing because it was a time where we could all get together and enjoy a game. Think of us without basketball. We prob wouldn't even be in contact with half of the guys in this team.

Free style is our style. Tactics restrict out play. We're not a school team.

We're TEAM DAIDEE. and we'll be brothers until all of us become great grandpas. LOL.

guys...tis coming weekend, sunday or saturday...u guys wanna go hang out at beach or canoeing again and stuff?...comment this post and state ur timings and ideas. den we'll see if we're goin or not! =)

hmm i've been thinking. i should find a way to suit our playing styles. all of our playing styles. i shouldn't try to impose any outside stuff right? probably just doesn't suit us.

like.. just abolish the kong qiu(point guard) position. i recognise i can't play that well. so we'll just bring the ball up. anyone =) then no more xi pai, shua pai(moves) whatever. we'll just run into space and pass the ball around =) we will just play simple? haha.

hmm maybe i'll try to hook up a match. last one. heh. before jc guys study for a'lvls. will that be ok with you all? but i can't confirm the match la. it's just a thought. might not even take place so don't get your hopes high.

i think it'll be a lot harder for us to meet up nowadays. with all the studying outside life taking place. just use this as an avenue if you want to =)

hmm wonder how you all are now. heh. anyway was wondering if i announed the basketball session we all play together every saturday at tbcc at 9am is it ok? haha. then can just leave a comment as to whether you are coming or not. cause i understand all of us are indeed busy people.

hey guys. sorry for losing my temper. sorry to aloy for losing my temper. but i know everyone wants to win. and you guys still had to cool me down. actually, im glad by the fact that everyone did not show out our unhappiness. it just goes to show that the team has matured alot. dont worry guys. we'll keep trying. we'll stay strong. till we beat them. and from the way things are going. one day, we will. any bad points about my playing, please please please let me know. i really want to improve. weilun you really didnt screw up that much. i admit you did lose some balls. but almost everyone else did. before the match we said. we win as a team, we lose as a team. this rule still applies after the match. anw, i probably cant attend as many meetings on saturdays anymore. but i'll still try to come down. tke cre bros. =)

we lost. we were all sad, but we chose to hide it. I have to admit i played like crap.

But its ok..really..we will keep trying and trying..the next time we play against them will probably be ages later.

Cheers to everyone who were out there slogging ur lives out in that match. You guys did a great job. I guess it was meant to be. Not their fault, not the adults who wanted to take half courts from us fault. But as aloy said, its our fault, only ourselves to blame.

hey. i just realised today in school that i have compulsory math lesson tmr. know wad? im gonna skip it for our match. haha. another bad news is.. i have math lecture every saturday from this week onwards.. so it'd be quite difficult for me to join ya'll. unless its after my school. haha. but i'll still try to make it. anw, wish us all the best!! =) tke cre bros.

my next exam

hey guys. your no. 7 team mate's exams are over!! not say that i'll pass any of them anw. haha. next exam for me will be this saturday. and we will definitely try our best. guys! before our game, we must have that believe in ourselves ok? we will and we can do very well. dont worry i wont do my take-the-ball-and-solo-run-up-without-my-team-mates-in-front-of-me-and-try-to-shoot-3-points stunt again. haha. i learnt that a good player doesnt have to be one who scores alot. he's one who believes in himself (not too much though) and believes in the team. and he will pass. assist. and pressure on. he uses his brains to play (i didnt use to) and he uses his foresight. now lets just wait for next saturday night for us to be discussing how we actually kicked their asses and surprised them with our unselfish play and beautiful passing. and our undying spirit in our hearts telling us teamdaidee will be better than 4i. so for the first time and never the last, teamdaidee forever!!

hmm i shall not talk about the world cup since everyone's like talking about them and i didn't watch the watch also. but england really disappointing. oh well.

things to look out for during a basketball match.

• communication- a good team communicates- on and off the court. so if there's any problems/suggestions/critisms/ideas do just spill it out and share it together. after all we are a team riight? so i hope all of us can take whatever is above as constructive and not take it personally. also on the court, we can communicate; who's open/there's someone behind you/etc. of course encouragements always helps =)

• looking out for each other's back- we don't let someone take the blame or simply push it all to just anyone. we take it all together. cause basketball is a team game.

• fundamentals of the game- we play it simple. no over-elaboration of play. pass it simple. and look carefully. there's always time to make your decision. shoot with confidence. try to be in a good position to shoot; a stable one, not a forced shot. especially defence. no one slacks. everyone helps one another. be at your best defensive stance always.

• confidence- of course believe in everyone, including yourself. hopefully, it will not breed into arrogance, complacency or over confidence.

hmm yup. of course there are more. but we all know it already la right. haha. just look forward to sat then. hope that everything is fine.
